Hair treatments
Hair treatments in Robinson Township, Pittsburgh
Four ways to put condition back: strengthen the bonds inside the strand, seal the cuticle, smooth the surface, or go further back than any of those and treat the scalp the hair grows out of.
The approach
Condition is structural, not a coating
Most of what gets sold as a hair treatment is a conditioner with a longer name: something that sits on the outside of the strand, makes it feel soft for three washes and rinses away. That is not useless, but it is not repair, and it is worth knowing which one you are paying for.
The treatments here work at different depths, and that is the only thing you really need to understand to choose. Bond renewal works inside the strand, on the links that lightening and heat break. A hydrating mask works on the cuticle, the outer layer, sealing moisture in. Keratin works on the surface, smoothing how the hair behaves in humidity. And the growth system does not treat the hair at all. It treats the scalp, because hair is skin's output and a scalp in poor condition cannot produce good hair.
Which means the honest answer to "what treatment do I need" usually starts with a look rather than a recommendation. Damage from bleach is a different problem from dryness, and dryness is a different problem from frizz, and none of the three is thinning. Ask us and we will tell you which one you actually have.
The menu
Four treatments
Two are add-ons to an appointment you are already having. Two are the appointment.
-
Bioactive Bond Renewal Ritual
NATULIQUE's plant-based bioactive complex, worked through to rebuild strength from inside the strand rather than coating it. Resilience, smoothness and natural shine, and the one that makes the most difference to hair that has been lightened.
Best forColor-treated, lightened or heat-worn hair.
-
Keratin Treatment
A smoothing treatment that refines how the hair behaves rather than changing what it is: less frizz, less fighting the weather, quicker mornings. The spread in time is real: it depends on how much hair there is and how much smoothing it wants.
Best forFrizz and humidity, without a full smoothing service.
-
Certified Organic Hydrating Hair Mask
A lightweight certified-organic formula built on avocado oil, açaí fruit and aloe, which hydrates deeply and seals the cuticle rather than weighing the hair down. The quickest of the four and the easiest to add to a visit.
Best forDryness, dullness, and hair that has gone thirsty.
-
Vital Roots Revive + Regrowth System
Scalp-level rather than hair-level: stem cell therapy delivered by micro-needling with high frequency, alongside an in-depth scalp analysis, to stimulate growth at the root. A course rather than a single appointment.
Best forThinning, shedding and early hair loss.
The Vital Roots system requires the purchase of a Calecium stem cell take-home kit in addition to the treatment itself. It is part of how the course works, not an upsell at the chair, and it is discussed before anything is booked. If what you want is smoothing that lasts rather than a keratin treatment, the Silk Smooth Ritual on our perms and smoothing page is the longer, more thorough version.
What we use
Certified organic, which matters more in a treatment than anywhere else
Alora is a NATULIQUE concept salon, so everything here is certified-organic and ammonia-free as standard rather than as an upgrade. The bioactive bond complex is NATULIQUE's own, and it is the same one that runs alongside our color services to protect hair while it is being lightened.
A treatment is the one service where the product is the entire point. There is no cut or color underneath it doing the work. So it is worth knowing that what goes on your hair here is the same range you can take home, and that nothing in it needs a fume-filled room to work.
Good to know
Do you do extensions, perms and hair treatments?
Yes to all three, alongside cutting, styling and our full color menu. Bond renewal, deep conditioning and hair growth therapies sit under our nourish and restore treatments. Book a consultation and we will talk through what suits your hair.
What products do you use?
Organic and vegan only. We are a NATULIQUE concept salon, so our color is certified-organic and ammonia-free, and we use their Bioactive bond complex to protect hair through every service. In the spa we work with KPS Essentials clean skincare. If you love something, you can take it home.
Is your color suitable for a sensitive scalp?
It is what we built the salon around. Our color is certified-organic and ammonia-free, so there are none of the harsh fumes you get in a conventional salon, which is often what makes color uncomfortable. Tell us when you book if your scalp is reactive and we will patch test and plan the service around it.
How do I book an appointment?
The easiest way is to book online, where you can see live availability, durations and pricing across all our services. You can also call us on 412-505-8735 or send an enquiry through this page.
